Lost in a barren and unforgiving part of Turkey, and forced to hide for days in a cave to get away from torrential rain and floods, a group of students turn to berries, grass and insects for sustenance. We speak to two of the students: Merije de Groot and David Mackie. Plus, what happens when you’re surrounded by people, but still have nothing to eat? We hear from Amin Sheikh – who survived alone on the streets of Mumbai for three years from the age of five. In the third of our Survival Stories programmes, the BBC's Emily Thomas is joined by Max Krasnow, an evolutionary psychologist from Harvard University, who explains how your tastebuds could save your life, and Dr Chris Fenn, a nutritionist and survival expert. Alex (@AT09_Trader) is a 22-year old, discretionary day trader, who’s seen great results in the few years he’s been grinding away at this. He trades small caps, and he trades aggressively—as you’ll soon hear, Alex is far from conservative. This conversation was recorded on the 16th of November (2016), right around the time when the madness in the shipping sector was unfolding. So we got talking about the ticker DRYS and how Alex racked up a $40k loss a day or two before our interview (although, he had his first +$100k day shortly after too). Also we spoke about how Alex got started, the types of trade scenarios that he looks for, areas that he’s working on to improve, and also his venture into real estate—where he flipped a foreclosure property for a tidy profit, plus much more. Note: Nothing you hear on this podcast is financial advice. You’re entirely responsible for your own trading decisions.

Wes Siler has been called a "Professional Wildman" that made a living testing motorcycles and fast cars. As a writer, Wes has been published in Wired, GQ, Rolling Stone, Jalopnik, and Playboy. So what in the world is he doing on our hunting podcast? Good question. Obviously, Wes is also a hunter. Hailing from Hollywood, he is a hunter that is surrounded by those that don't understand hunting, don't support it, and clearly don't participate in it themselves. Wes has found, though, that many people are open to hunting once they understand it better. And Wes is a great voice to help non-hunters understand hunting; we talk a bit about that in this episode. Of course, we also hear about some of Wes' own hunting adventures — including why he almost had to cancel one of his own hunting trips during the whole Cecil the Lion fiasco. We also hear about the important lessons that Wes learned during his own journey of becoming a big game hunter. http://exomountaingear.com/56

Arizona is the "Land of Giants" when it comes to elk. In this episode we discuss how you — yes, YOU! — can get an opportunity to hunt this place where 350-400" bulls are a reality. We're not saying it is guaranteed, we're not saying it is easy, but we are saying, and showing you in this episode, that it is very doable with a little bit of hard work and some patience. Our guest is Arizona hunter and hunting guide, Dan Adler, owner of Diamond Outfitters (http://AZDiamondOutfitters.com). Dan explains why Arizona has such quality elk, how non-residents can get an opportunity at a tag (as well as some great money-saving tactics!), why he rarely calls elk, and much more. For the last nine years, Ken Arnold and his wife Donna have operated an all-volunteer group called the Puget Sound Ghost Hunters. They put an ad up on their website and on their Facebook group inviting hunters to join their team. But before Ken and Donna offer membership, they arranged a trial ghost hunt to see how the candidates behave in the field. HBM producer Bethany Denton comes along to record the night’s activity.
