00:07:13but those numbers over the next year or so just want to hit a couple things that stood out to Me
00:07:18two things that people like to disavow Apple you have Apple music and the Apple Watch.
00:07:23It's actually really astonishing how far Apple music has come since it launched in June twenty fifteen they now have
00:07:43number two position in terms of paying music members is really astonishing and
00:07:48expect that Apple clothes and similarly with the Apple Watch gets a lot of Hate
00:07:52I think the at the Apple Watch. Series two that they announced Yesterday will
00:07:57go long weighing kind of expanding market share because they have a built in DPS which is great for runners and
00:08:07swim proof so if you're a swimmer it's a lot easier to track Your progress but
00:08:12even so up to this point that the Apple. Watch with just one one iteration
00:08:17has more than fifty percent market share of the smart watch market is the number to watch brand not just
00:08:22smart watch brand behind Rolex so if those or flops man Apple TV is
00:08:27more those of an opposition to be and well and that was the thing about the Apple watch that
00:08:32when they first unveiled a disorder has Me scratching My. Had a little bit even though i'm
00:08:32when they first unveiled a disorder has Me scratching My. Had a little bit even though i'm
00:08:37I don't wear a watch and I I did no point did I look at the Apple Watch and with an eye
00:08:42toward well if it has enough gadgets for Me i'm going to buy one i'm just not someone who
00:09:20Apple is a victim of its own success people are comparing Apple meet the performance of all these different
00:09:25segments it something it's whether its services for New hardware like the Apple Watch
00:09:30against the iPhone but it's just been an astonishing success for Apple.
00:10:45think so I mean at i'm not one who's been no trash. Added to Your fitness tracker
00:10:50trackers or or watches but that Apple Watch has a lot of Cool features that to my
00:10:54knowledge that the competition just doesn't have been like and mentioned the robots ecosystem of

00:00:25Yeah you know you got to you got a dollar and all and I actually saw him at that
00:00:30apple store the day of the Apple Watch being available for previews that I
00:00:35I had some car trouble that day and was unable to appear on the show.
00:01:43Yeah.
00:01:45OK so that's all of you will claim Apple Watch bingo and you guys can play at home as you watch
00:01:50along. See how many other watches you spot on stage and then we'll all see as a
00:02:04do this and then tell us all about it but I'll try. I'm taking photographs generally the whole
00:02:09time so I'll try to try to get at least one snap of the Apple Watch
00:02:14as much as I see it on people's wrists but anyway that brings us to our
00:06:59almost like it almost was not even words. But it looks very much
00:07:04like the fall Apple Watch has a faulty part is what is like the best sense that anyone could
00:07:09make of it right. I think logically and then you went to that and it was like and it's
00:07:19did you know I can't name any deejays are now ts
00:07:23ts so be like oh my Apple Watch has a faulty part but what actually happened was it was the Dow
00:07:28Jones. According to them their source was Dow Jones and there are some kind of fault and they
00:14:31did theirs and set it up and you're there for that. Yeah you know if they put it
00:14:36on install all the apps on their phone that have Apple Watch extensions install all of
00:14:41those and just kind of like oh let's see you would like that first impression you get is very
00:16:13I honestly think that if you're an i Phone if you're if you're someone who really loves your i Phone your and you're
00:16:18not going to regret taking of an apple watch. That's the bottom line. Yeah I think it's going to have
00:16:22varying. Like people feel that they get more or
00:16:27less value out of it depending on their practices but if you're if you're a person who like you know i go i Phone
00:16:32on my phone all the way like Apple Watch is going to is going to scratch that itch as well and it's
00:16:37going to be in a different way. But it's like it's not an i Phone right.
00:28:14mean to be fair to people making a criticism Apple is the one who framed their devices as i
00:28:19Phone and Apple Watch. You know they're the ones putting them in contrast
00:28:22.
00:32:00admit I haven't been keeping up with the band news that much but the one difficulty is like
00:32:05in comparison to say a pebble or the Apple Watch.
00:32:09It's got that scene like a long time in multiple rows
00:40:47. No I'm not entirely sure about what you're saying
00:40:53but also evaluating us through its Facebook evaluating whether to make Apple Watch out.
00:40:57Yeah actually that was one of the things or when I loaded the Apple Watch app on my phone for the first time
00:41:02after sinking into it I thought I was actually on that it was
00:42:14do need to figure out what's going on with innovations because some things you have to handle him go
00:42:19into the Facebook app and say what kinds of innovations do you send me and then go to the Apple Watch out and
00:42:23say OK now send me notifications or like shopping glances like there's multiple
00:45:40also sort of a fun a joy to use or whatever. Even in like a small way is
00:45:45pretty rare and that's what I found the Apple Watch to be so far. So
00:45:50much so that I. I don't I don't know if you read the diary but I still I went and bought a
00:56:34the end here for reflection you know it
00:56:37. But yeah I don't know but I do think the Apple Watch
00:56:41has like like I think of this like looking at it as an
01:05:21six months or years like two weeks of the avalanche through three weeks of the avalanche.
01:05:26Two months of the Apple Watch for months they have washed right like and you almost could do that
01:05:32we won't do that.
01:09:32OK thank you for joining us this week on the Tech Crunch Apple casts which was the
01:09:37Darryl Kile of Apple Watch and just talk when I was for a long time. Podcast that's
01:09:42the title. Long I think

Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft and another few dozen tech companies have sent a letter to Congress urging internet surveillance reform. The companies suggest specific reforms to the way the government collects information from non-US persons who are not suspected of wrongdoing. If you've been ordering food from the delivery app Sprig, well, you won't anymore. Sprig is shutting down. Bitcoin is getting bigger, especially in South Korea and the rest of Asia. But as the price of bitcoin rises, some of the exchanges can't handle the traffic. TechCrunch reports that Coinbase, the cryptocurrency exchange that's received over $117 million in funding from investors, can't handle the traffic. We also discuss Mark Zuckerberg's Harvard graduation speech, Apple's new AI chip, and a mechanical watch that costs $26,000 and won't even let you send emoji to people.
